Tutorial: Monedero con boquilla metálica - Framed purse tutorial

 
Dicho y hecho... aqui os dejo un tutorial explicando cómo se hacen este tipo de monederos, incluyendo dibujar el patrón.

As promised... here is the framed purse tutorial, including how to draw your own pattern.

Los materiales que necesitáis son:

1. Tela para el exterior. La cantidad de tela dependerá del patrón y el tamaño de la boquilla. En el caso de este tutorial, se necesita un rectángulo de 62 x 20 cm.
2. Tela para el interior. La misma cantidad que para el exterior + un rectángulo de 12 cm en vertical y 11 en horizontal, para el bolsillo.
3. Entretela adhesiva, no muy gruesa. La misma cantidad que para el exterior 
4. Fliselina. La misma cantidad que para el exterior. En este caso y como no tenía fliselina, utilicé una tela indeterminada de grosor similar que tenía por casa, de color azul. 
5. Boquilla. En este tutorial he utilizado una boquilla de 17 x 5 cm. Normalmente, cuanto más largos sean los lados o patas de la boquilla, más sencillo es trabajar después por dentro del monedero a la hora de pegarla, por lo que para empezar yo recomendaría una boquilla con patas más largas, unos 7 cm. Todas las boquillas que he usado hasta ahora las he comprado en Bagpurse frames, y me han dado buen resultado.
6. Pegamento para textiles. A mi el que más me gusta es el de Güttermann, porque creo que es el más resistente, pero sirve cualquier otro (siempre que la boquilla del tubo de pegamento entre dentro del carril de la boquilla metálica).
7. Cordón. Opcional, es para ajustar al final del todo el monedero en el interior de la boquilla.
8. Herramientas. Hay que tener a mano unas tijeras o un destornillador de punta plana y unas tenazas (opcional).

   What you need is:

1. Exterior fabric. The amount depends on the frame size and pattern. In this tutorial, we need 62 x 20 cm.
2. Tela para el interior. Same quantity as the exterior one + a rectangle for the pocket, measuring 12 cm high and 11 cm wide.
3. Entretela adhesiva, no thick one. Same quantity as the exterior one.
4. Fleece. Same quantity as the exterior. I am out of fleece, so I´ve used a blue-unknown-fabric of my stash, with similar thickness.
5. Frame. Here I´ve used a 17 x 5 cm frame. Usually, the longer the frame sides or “legs” are, the easier the work will be inside the purse when attaching the frame, so I´ll recommend a frame with longer sides for beginners. All my frames are bought on Bagpurse frames, and they´ve worked fine for me.
6. Fabric glue. I like Güttermann, I think it´s the strongest, but you can use any other one (just make sure that the glue´s nozzle fits into the frame´s rail)
7. Cord. This is optional, but gives a better finishing for the purse.
8. Tools. You need a pair of scissors or a flathead screwdriver, and a pair of tongs (optional).

Ultimamente me llaman mucho las formas de los sobres, estoy tratando de dibujar varios patrones, así que seguro que coso alguno más...He utilizado lo que me quedó de la tela de tapicería del Bolso de viaje, y como forro una tela a la que mi hermana tenía cariño

I´m drawing some patterns for envelope bags, I´ve been thinking around them lately, surely I´ll sew some more...I´ve used the fabric I got left from my Travel bag, and the lining is a special fabric for my sister. 

Como siempre, lo más difícil es coser las trabillas, mi máquina casi no puede con tantas capas de tela...

As usual, the hardest thing are the loops, too many fabric layers for my machine. 

La distinta longitud de las cadenas hace que pueda llevarse en bandolera o al hombro. La cadena corta sirve como adorno también.

Different chain lengths allow to carry it on shoulder, as a short or long version. The short chain works as an ornament too.

Os gusta? Soy un poco monocromática, pero es que cuando me gusta una tela aprovecho para coser con ella todo lo que puedo..

Monederos de boquilla doble - Double metal framed purses

No sé que tienen los monederos con boquilla que me encantan, ¡son tan retro y a la vez tan modernos!

Después de mucho pensar y practicar por fin conseguí sacar el patrón para la boquilla doble, cosí tres y fui perfeccionándolos. No sé cómo será el patrón de verdad, pero el mio no queda tan mal...

I don´t know why, but I love framed purses, they are so retro and modern at the same time! After a lot of thinking and practice, I finally figured out the double frame pattern, and then I sewed three purses, I don´t know how the real pattern is, but mine isn´t so bad...

Cosiendo en pequeño - Little sewing

En estos días en los que no me decido a empezar ningún proyecto, me dedico a coser ropa para los muñecos de mi casa.

También he aprovechado un retal que tenía por casa para hacer una falda para una amiga de mi hijo. Da gusto coser para los niños, se gasta tan poca tela! Esta falda me llevó 30 minutos, siguiendo el tutorial de Dana, y queda muy bien, es una gran idea para regalar a las niñas. En la realidad es más bonita que en la foto!

I´ve done some girly sewing too, with this simple gathered skirt form Dana´s tutorial. I took me 30 minutes to finish it, it´s the perfect gift for girls. I looks prettier on reality than on the picture!

 

Tutorial: Bolso de playa muy fácil - Easy Beach Tote Bag

Este es un bolso fácil y rápido de hacer, en un par de horas puedes tener un bolso estupendo con mucha capacidad, ¡ideal para llevar toallas, cremas y libros a la playa o la piscina!

Las medidas finales del bolso son: 50 cm de ancho, 40 cm de alto y 8 cm de grosor en la parte inferior.

This is a quick & easy project - in a couple of hours you can get a pretty roomy bag, ideal for carrying towels, books or whatever to the beach or the swimming pool!

Final measures for the bag are: 50 cm width, 40 cm length and 8 cm thickness at the bottom.

Los materiales que necesitas son:

1. Tela para el exterior. Recomiendo una tela con consistencia, para que el bolso no quede flojucho, pero sirve cualquiera. También puedes entretelar una tela más fina. En mi caso he utilizado esta tela de ikea.
2. Tela para el interior. La mia es un algodón que compré rebajado.
3. Cintas para las asas. Las mías son de algodón y poliéster tejido y las compré hechas, porque quería usar algo más resistente que unas asas de tela cosidas, ya que la idea es poder cargar el bolso a tope.
4. Cierre de tipo magnético. Seguro que en cualquier mercería grande se pueden encontrar, si no, se pueden comprar por Internet. Yo compré los míos en Etsy, junto con algunas boquillas para bolsos, en Bagpurseframes.

What you need is:

1. Exterior fabric. I recommend a sturdy fabric, so that the bag won´t be loose, but you can use whatever you want. You can also interface any fabric to make it thicker. I´ve used a home decor weight fabric from ikea.
2. Lining fabric. Mine is cotton from a flea market.
3. Straps. Mine are cotton + poliester and I bought them at the haberdashery, because I wanted something harder than fabric ones, since the idea is to load the bag bursting at the seams!
4. Magnetic Snaps. You can get them at any haberdashery, or buy them on Internet. I bought mine on Etsy, at Bagpurseframes shop.

La idea es que resulte fácil de hacer, así que he preparado un tutorial con muchísimas fotos por si alguna quiere hacerse uno. En él explico también cómo colocar un cierre magnético.
